Downtown Sioux Falls Parking Map

We are located at 220 South Phillips Ave., between 10th and 11th street.

  • Metered parking is available downtown for free anytime before 9am and after 5pm and free all weekend.
  • Free parking in parking garages weeknights after 6pm and all weekend.
  • Two convenient parking options are located near The Dharma Room:
    • Parking Garage on Mall Avenue, between 10th and 11th street--allows you to utilize our back door entrance!  In fact, if you are coming to the Dharma Room for massage, we encourage you to use our Mall Street entrance.  This is public parking and subject to parking fees.  Current rates are 60 cents per hour.
    • Metered parking lot on the corner of Mall Avenue and 10th Street.

Of course, we are within walking distance to many downtown businesses and residences, so we encourage you to take a nice stroll or bike ride down to our location, and bike racks are located just a couple of doors down from our storefront.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Yoga Philosophy Theme of the Week

Shaucha

We now begin to explore the five Niyamas, which are constructive tools for the inner work that gives rise to the ability to really put spirituality into practice in our daily lives.

Shaucha means "purification; cleanliness".  It includes a number of techniques for cleansing the body as well as the mind, and it has even been called the aim of the entire system of yoga.  The sages say that shaucha is not only the foundation for bodily health, it is also the doorway to deeper and more tranquil states of meditation.

Practice tip:  Select wisely from the many choices of food, emotions, and thoughts waiting to come into your body and mind.  As the body becomes purified you will experience radiant health;  as the mind becomes purified, you will feel increasingly clear, friendly and cheerful.
