Level 2--For Intermediate Students working to progress their yoga poses

Level 3--For Intermediate/Advanced Students, advanced poses, aerobic flow and inversions are common in these classes.

All Levels--Classes are Gentle/Beginner in nature and open to everyone.

Kripalu Yoga  (Level 1-2)  What a great way to start your work week!  Classic yoga asana from the Kripalu lineage delivered with compassion and loving-kindness.

Beginning Yoga (Level 1):   This class is especially designed for individuals who are new to yoga or are just learning.  A gentle beginning format focusing on learning basic poses and safe alignment as well as breath work and relaxation.

Good Morning Yoga (All Levels): A gentle awakening for your body and mind!  This class is perfect for beginners or experienced yoga enthusiasts who want a slower, gentler pace to start their day.  Focus of this class will be on mastery of yoga basics, gentle movements and breathing techniques.

Beginner/Intermediate (Level 1-2):  A great class for intermediate students, this class features a variety of modifications that allows students to continue to progress at their own pace.  Focus on learning and mastering Sun Salutations, and includes breath work and meditation.

Laughter Yoga (All Levels):   Laughter Yoga is a radically different approach to stress management and physical fitness that combines simple laughter exercises with gentle yoga breathing techniques. This revolutionary technique, causes spontaneous, joyful laughter to flow without any jokes. Because of the eye-contact and childlike playfulness that is initiated, participants discover a deep, human connection with other laughers.

Power Yoga (Level 2-3):  This class is a wonderful way to add a little more intensity to your yoga practice.  You choose your level of effort while generating heat and learning to improve focus, flexibility, strength and overall physical well-being.  Featuring a Vinyasa-style with an invitation to explore more advanced yoga poses.  Must have prior yoga knowledge.

T’ai Chi/Qigong (All Levels):  Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese health care system often referred to as “Chinese yoga” that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intention.  Come enjoy a way to release the stress of the day while finding the centered energy to be your best.  T’ai chi and Qi Gong can be practiced by people of all ages and levels of fitness.  This class is a great way to spend your lunch hour, and you can even wear your work clothes!

Weekend Warrior (Level 1-2):  Start your weekend energized and re-invigorated!  This class flows with a beginner to intermediate Vinyasa-style to waken up the body and mind.

Weekend Renewal (Level 1):  End your weekend with a gentle, more reflective class focusing on slowing down the body and mind to find peace and calm to take into your work week.

Yin Yoga (Level 1):  Each posture in a Yin Yoga class is held for long periods of time to encourage the slow and safe opening of connective tissues, leaving one with an overall feeling of lightness, spaciousness and peace. Yin Yoga class is the perfect antidote to stress and a great counter balance to more active, or yang, styles of yoga.

YogaTone (Level 2):  A fabulous class to start your week!  For those who love the toning of Pilates and strength training, as well as yoga, this class is for you!  Yoga poses will be enhanced with light weight and toning exercises to increase strength and stamina. (Weights are optional, but you must bring your own 2-5lb weights)

Yoga Philosophy Theme of the Week

Shaucha

We now begin to explore the five Niyamas, which are constructive tools for the inner work that gives rise to the ability to really put spirituality into practice in our daily lives.

Shaucha means "purification; cleanliness".  It includes a number of techniques for cleansing the body as well as the mind, and it has even been called the aim of the entire system of yoga.  The sages say that shaucha is not only the foundation for bodily health, it is also the doorway to deeper and more tranquil states of meditation.

Practice tip:  Select wisely from the many choices of food, emotions, and thoughts waiting to come into your body and mind.  As the body becomes purified you will experience radiant health;  as the mind becomes purified, you will feel increasingly clear, friendly and cheerful.
